November Technical Meeting
- November 9, 2020
12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
AED’s are important aspect of any local school, church, workplace or where ever a gathering of mass people will occur. In the US there are 10,000 cardiac arrest cases in the work place each year according to OSHA, and only 50% of employees know where the AED is located in their facility. To this end, McKinley ASSP will host a 1.25 hour webinar via Teams on November 9 to address these concerns. McKinley Chapter is offering CEUs for participation in our September 14, October 13 and November 9 meetings. Participants must attend ALL 3 to be awarded CEUs.
On November 9 from noon- 1:30 pm, presenter Tim Palmer will prepare participants explain the value of having AEDs available for use; identify a situation in which to use an AED; evaluate whether an AED is ready to use; recognize the value of having an AED in a facility or jobsite; and describe what proximity is recommended for the effective use of an AED.
The session will be recorded on Teams and the Chapter will take attendance and request participants complete an evaluation following the session.
