Each seminar is 1-day long (0.7 CEUs each session), and you can choose to sign-up for one seminar or both.

Day 1:  Thursday October 2, 8 am – 4 pm  (0.7 CEUs)

Cultivating Healthy Connections – Creating Community at Work after the Pandemic Challenges

Presenter: Leslie Yerkes – Catalyst Consulting Group

      

 Objectives of this day-long, highly interactive workshop will include:

  • Focusing on the culture as much as we focus on the strategy and execution of our organizations.
  • Learning new ways to connect to support performance relationships in the new era of remote
    and hybrid working models.
  • Managing and working in teams effectively, whether together or distanced, to foster trust and connection to the values and mission of the organization.
  • Fostering psychological safety in every interaction.
  • Using the power of strength-based questions (appreciative inquiry) as a cultural norm and
    change process.

 This workshop supports learning and practicing tools and techniques for the changing landscape of the workplace and evolving processes for engaging all generations of a workforce contributing to high-performance, sustainable commitments, and a climate that supports the goals of safety, quality, service and well-being for all.


Day 2:  Friday, October 3, 8 am – 4 pm  (0.7 CEUs)

Risk Reduction for Machines in Manufacturing

Presenter: Mark Eitzman – Integrated Mill Systems

    

Mark is a machine safety consultant and educator and will present on:

  • Societal & Industry Demands for Safety and Productivity, Manufacturing Safety Maturity, the ROI of contemporary technologies & techniques
  • Attaining Regulatory (OSHA) Compliance with current laws and standards
  • Team/Task-based Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan
  • Contemporary Risk Reduction Technologies and Techniques for Machinery Safety
  • Minor Servicing Exception and Alternative Measure (how/when to permit access without LOTO)
  • Installation, Validation and Post-Commissioning Management of Change and Industry 4.0

This workshop provides an understanding of the current, standards-based approach to attaining both safety and productivity.  Baseline/compare the approach at your enterprise with those of the most safety mature manufactures.  The content is appropriate for a cross-departmental audience (EHS, Eng/Maint, Ops., Mngt.)
